Meditation Studio

The Meditation Studio, also known as a ‘kuti’ in Buddhism, is a quiet place for a monk to meditate, study and live simply in the forest. A central glass walkway connects the meditation room on one end with the living quarters on the other and provides 60 feet of continuous length for walking meditation. To foster a peaceful environment, the building is situated on a basalt outcrop that overlooks the forest and is constructed to limit sound transmission.
